Polartec® 100

Polartec® 100 Weight Fleece is a single or double-faced mid-weight high performance velour. Both the low pile face and fine gauge knit back are highly resistant to piling. It is specifically engineered to wick moisture away from the skin. Other polyester fleeces are "hydrophobic", or water repelling. In Polartec® 100 Weight Fleece, the fibers are chemically altered to make them "hydrophilic", or water loving, which gives it an outstanding wicking ability. Comfort is also enhanced by excellent breathability and an adequate stretch factor.

Polartec® 100 Weight Fleece is a proven choice for "expedition weight" underwear and in fact, the astronauts wear it on shuttle missions! It is also excellent for use as a liner, especially in jackets. You'll also see it being used in all kinds of active wear, buntings, hats and caps, even footwear.

Polartec® 100 Weight Fleece is also anti-microbial to prevent bacterial growth on the fabric to help keep it looking and smelling fresh.

CARE:
Cold or lukewarm wash. Tumble dry low. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Do not dry clean. For best results launder garment separately and inside out.
