Going "Green" |

Going "Green" for Rockywoods means working on several opportunities to reduce our impact:
- Carpooling: almost 70% of our employees carpool more than 3 days a week.
- Products: we continue to look for high-quality organic, renewable or recycled outdoor fabrics.
- Reduce: we replaced all of our lights with CFL or energy efficient fluorescent tube lighting. We also installed a set-back thermostat to reduce the heating or cooling load in our warehouse during off-peak times.
- Recycling: we recycle all of our cardboard, glass and metal to a mixed recycling container.
- Reuse: about 10% of our shipments will go out in a clean, recycled cardboard box. Don't be surprised if your fabric comes in a "Pastry" box from the local warehouse or grocery store.
- Work from home: most of our employees can work from home for some portions of their job through our Internet based applications and VPN based netowrk.
